God never intended for only a few people to do all the work in the church. This leads to burn out. Everyone has work to do in keeping the church running smoothly. 💕
Each person is part of the body of Christ. Each of us have a responsibility to do. Each part, no matter how small or insignificant that job may seem to be, is important in keeping the body of Christ running smoothly. When one person does not take part in the church or chooses not to do their job, the whole body feels the ripple effect of that loss and suffers. As the body tries to adjust to the imbalance, some members take on additional responsibilities to keep the body running. But it leads to overworking and eventually to burn out. 💕 Recently, a patient shared how his life changed after losing the tip of his pinky finger. He can't throw a football and he can't bench press as much as he was able to before the accident. And he only lost the tip of his pinky finger! This illustrates what happens when even one member in the body of Christ doesn't participate in the church. We can go further together than we can when we're segregated and scattered. 💕 As the saying goes, many hands make for lighter work. 💕 If you're not doing anything in the church, what is something you can do? If you're doing more than your share, what is something you can delegate to someone who isn't involved in the church? 💕 Read 1 Corinthians 12; Romans 12:3-5; Ephesians 4:16. 💕 💕 💕 If you were blessed by this post, please let us know by commenting, liking, sharing, and following @BalmFromGilead on FB and IG. 💕 #MidweekManna #HelpOneAnother #ShareTheLoad #BodyOfChrist #ManyHands #BurnOutRecovery #BalmOfGilead #BalmFromGilead #MentalBalm #MentalHealth #MentalHealthAwareness #PhysicalBalm #PhysicalHealth #SpiritualBalm #SpiritualHealth
