Recently, I've been doing more gardening than I have done in years past. I love the fresh produce that I get from my garden and being able to pick it at the last minute to add to a dish. To enjoy the benefits of a good harvest, I must work hard. It does not come easily. It requires daily attention from watering to pruning to removing weeds. By giving it daily attention, it will yield good fruit. It's the same thing with our spiritual lives. To produce a good harvest, which will be reaped at the 2nd Coming, we must take time to cultivate our spiritual walk with the Lord daily. We need to water our souls by drinking in the Word, which means reading the Scriptures to absorb what it says. When we take small sips of the Word daily, it will grow the good seed planted in our hearts. We must also prune away leaves and branches that hinder our spiritual growth. These are the ones that are starting to die. If it is not cut from the plant, good nutrition will be wasted to keep dead parts alive. There are so many good things we can do for the Lord to advance His soon coming. However, we are not required to take part in every good thing that comes our way for it will mentally and physically drain us. Put your time and effort into those things that God has called you to do. Lastly, weeds need to be uprooted from our lives, which are bad habits or ungodly people. These weeds zap our time and energy, leaving little to no time for the Lord. As you read the Word and pray, God will show you areas in your life that are taking away time from Him. These areas need to be permanently uprooted. Our spiritual gardens require daily watering, pruning, and uprooting to produce good fruit. It's never too late to start spending time with the Lord. #MidWeekManna #ObjectLessons #ChristsObjectLessons #Gardening #BalmOfGilead #BalmFromGilead #MentalBalm #MentalHealth #MentalHealthAwareness #PhysicalBalm #PhysicalHealth #SpiritualBalm #SpiritualHealth
